Bruno Mastantuono, Legal & Strategic Advisor, CLEAN SKY 2 JOINT UNDERTAKING
He is a qualified lawyer specialised in EU law with 16 years of working experience in the EU. After obtaining in 2001 his degree in Law “cum laude” was fellow researcher in EU law and completed an international training in legal practice with qualification to the Lawyers College in 2013. He started his career in the EU in 2002 at the European Parliament and joined the Commission in 2007 working on state aid/competition law and infringements where he acquired expertise in negotiations with Member States on enforcement of EU law. Since 2012 he is the legal manager and strategy advisor of the Public-Private Partnership “Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking” the largest European Programme in Aeronautics R&I. He is responsible for legal affairs, governance, strategic advice and institutional affairs. He coordinates the action plan on synergies with National and Regional R&I Agendas which led to an extensive framework of MoU cooperation on synergies with ESIF with a number of Member States and Regions with Smart Specialization Strategies priorities in the field of Aeronautics. He was speaker in international conferences and University lectures and delivered in May 2016 the opening keynote speech at the Dutch Presidency meeting on Cohesion Policy and synergies H2020-ESIF.
